Author of comics inspired by history, Christian Quesnel has published Félix Leclerc: l'alouette en liberté (winner of the CALQ Prize - Work of the Year in Outaouais 2019), Vous avez détruit la beauté du monde (winner of the Grand Prix de la Ville de Québec - Bédéis Causa 2021, finalist for the Prix des libraires du Québec 2021) and Mégantic, un train dans la nuit (winner of the Eco-Fauve Raja Prize of the Angoulême International Comics Festival, Grand Prix de la Ville de Québec - Bédéis Causa 2022). Three times winner of the Prix du Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, he was the first artist in residence at the CALQ studio in London. He holds a master's degree in museology and art practices (comics) from the Université du Québec en Outaouais, where he is currently a doctoral student.
