Éditions Pow Pow is a Montreal-based, French language publisher. It was created in 2010 by comics artist Luc Bossé, as a way to publish his own work… and maybe a few books by some of his friends. But by 2014, Éditions Pow Pow had published over twenty graphic novels by a growing number of authors. Pow Pow Press was created as a way to translate some of these books in English. After raising funds through a successful Kickstarter campaign, four titles were released in May 2015. Pow Pow Press aims to translate as many comics as possible in the coming years.

Publisher Over the course of several decades, Drawn & Quarterly has grown from a single-issue magazine to an internationally renowned publisher of the world's best cartoonists. D+Q has published many North American luminaries of the medium including, as well as international authors. Montreal Stores In 2008, D+Q opened its flagship store Librairie D+Q and revitalized the independent book retail landscape in Canada and in Montreal, providing a home to not just graphic novels from around the world but independent prose, poetry and more. In 2017, La Petite Librairie D+Q was opened, which during the day is Montreal's only bilingual children’s and at night hosts a range of literary events. Both are in the Mile End neighbourhood of Montreal, the very same neighbourhood where the company was founded in 1989 by Chris Oliveros.

Sylvie Rancourt was born in Northern Quebec and moved to Montreal in the early 1980s, where she began performing as a nude dancer and recounting her experiences in comics form. In the 1990s, Rancourt collaborated with Jacques Boivin who translated and illustrated her stories for the American market, selling over 200,000 copies. A compilation of early Melody comics was recently published in France and nominated for a prize at the 2014 Angoulême Comics Festival. Sylvie Rancourt lives in Abitibi, Canada, with her husband and five kids, and she spends much of her time painting

At the age of 28, excluded forever from the 27 club, Rabot knew he would never be a rockstar. Of course, he was doing comics, so it did not touch him too much, but still ... There are rockstar comics artists, right? After a bachelor's degree at the Université du Québec en Outaouais, he returned to Montreal where he published comic pages in collectives and magazines. He has been teaching comics workshops for children for two years. Rabot loves cats, Cookie clicker and Chambre en ville. He like to express his stress and his feelings at the expense of his characters (À quoi bon?) and also to tell stories of his relevant autobiography (Samana, J'ai chié des flakes de salades).

Salgood Sam aka Max Douglas is an artist, storyteller and teacher. His art has been featured in comics published by Image, IDW, Marvel & DC. He's worked in animation, as an illustrator for print and media, a muralist, designer, & prop fabricator. And in recent years he's been focused on more personal work, including the Graphic Novels 'Dream Life' and "Therefore, Repent!', and he self publishes a personal comics anthology series called Revolver Quarterly. He can also be found teaching Art and Comics at Syn Studio in downtown Montreal.
