Born in Montreal, Simon Labelle holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Concordia University. Writer and comic book artist, he published his first works in Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine, Solaris, Le Polyscope, Spirou and Croc. Le suicide de la Déesse was published in 2010 by Mécanique générale and won the Bédélys Québec award for best French-language comic strip. Planches magazine then published Les dossiers Jaugins from 2015 to 2017, and Le pouvoir et l'ivresse was published in 2019 by Glénat Québec. Simon was president of the Association des illustrateurs et illustratrices du Québec. He is a web designer in Montreal.
