Danièle Archambault

Danièle Archambault, author, researcher, and educator, is interested in comics as a way to document a society’s cultural and linguistic landscape. A tenured professor in the linguistics department at the University of Montreal until 1998, she now lives in Palo Alto, California. She is the author of graphic novels, bilingual comics series, webcomics-blog, and eBooks. She is a regular guest speaker at various educational and cultural institutions. Danièle Archambault teaches graphic novel and illustration classes at the Palo Alto Art Center and other educational venues, focusing on the art of visual storytelling. Since September 2014, she is an artist-in-residence in the Cubberley Studio Artist Program, City of Palo Alto.

Benoît Leblanc is a biologist and a cartoonist. On top of his science-fiction series The Orion Arm, he is the creator of the scientific humour blog People in White Coats. Francis Pelletier «Grazo» has always been fascinated by comics and especially by Tintin. Hergé played a pivotal role in his graphic development : "it goes back to the age of 10, when I redrew the book "Tintin and the Picaros" in its entirety". It is however only at the age of 19 that he started to devote himself to the creaion of new comics. Since Gabrielle Syreeni completed her studies in literature and visual arts, she conjugate these disciplines to create the publishing project name "Cat full of love". Jocelyn Bonnier

Born in Montréal, he works as a storyboard artist for adverts and feature films. He has worked on movies such as "Brick Mansions" and "Louis Cyr". In 2010 he made the superhero comic book "L'Ocelot: L'Éveil du fauve", published by Les 400 Coups, and the following year he completed the sequel, which he distributed independantly. In 2015 and 2017, he self-published a modern two-part adaptation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's "The Idiot". He also contributed to short story collections for Front Froid and Zidara 9.

Productions Molotov

Illustrateur et auteur-compositeur-interprète de la région de Lanaudière au Québec, Mathieu Bellemare étudie les arts visuels puis complète une maîtrise en composition musicale. En 2015, combinant l'illustration, la chanson, le conte et la musique de film en un seul objet, il fait paraître le disque-livre illustré "Chants des Marais et des Morts" dont l'univers musical et visuel s'inscrit dans la tradition à laquelle appartiennent les œuvres de Tim Burton, Tom Waits et Edgar Allan Poe. Œuvre indépendante et hors-norme, elle est remarquée dès sa parution pour sa qualité et sa nouveauté, remportant de nombreux prix, dont le prix du Conseil des arts et lettres du Québec "Oeuvre de l'année 2015 en région" (Lanaudière). Il travaille présentement sur un second opus, cette fois aux couleurs plus urbaines.

Salgood Sam

Salgood Sam is a veteran of the north american english comics industry. He worked for Marvel, DC and other major publishers in the '90s and early '00s. Over the last ten years he's focused on personal works such as 'Dream Life', 'Therefore, Repent!', and his ongoing personal antholagy comics series 'Revolver Quarterly'. He runs a vanity imprint to publish these works and teaches art and cartooning part time at Syn Studio in downtown Montreal!

The Joking Wallflower

Jennifer Kiakas is a young storyteller in the making. Currently she is known for her short films: The Suitcase (screened at Fantoche Film Festival in Switzerland) and Quirk (screened at OIAF in Ottawa); as well as an online series of zines, the Myth about Myths; and a webcomic, Badmouth. She spends her time illustrating, animating, storyboarding, thumb-nailing and doing whatever it takes to pull the stories out of her head and push them out into the world around her. Her huge passions are circus shows, spooky stories and the occasional nursery rhyme accompanied by queer characters with big stories to tell.

Titi Krapouti / Dryade / Dead Charlie

Stéphanie Leduc fait des études universitaires en bande dessinée, précédées d’études collégiales en dessin animé au Québec. Peu après, elle se fait remarquer en Europe avec quelques histoires courtes à titre d'auteur complet pour l'hebdomadaire Spirou et le magazine Lanfeust. En 2010, elle nous fait découvrir l'univers mirifique de Titi Krapouti et cie publié aux éditions Glénat Québec. Dans un autre style, sa saga fantastique Terre sans dieux est publiée aux éditions Vents d'Ouest en Outaouais. Stéphanie Leduc a un fort penchant pour les histoires à saveur fantasy dans des mondes parallèles au nôtre. Comme elle fait le scénario, le dessin et la couleur, elle aime se décrire comme une auteur-compositeur-interprète. Mais avec sa nouvelle série érotique, Dryade, elle ajoute une nouvelle corde à son arc et devient éditrice en auto-publiant le livre pour lequel elle signe Laduchesse. Anglais Stéphanie Leduc studied the comic medium at university (Baccalauréat Université du Québec en Ouatouais 2005), and studies in animation at colledge. Soon after, she published short stories in European comic books and magazines; the weekly Spirou and Lanfeust Mag. In 2010, she unvealed the fabulous universe of Titi Krapouti, published by Glénat Québec and in 2013, Vents d’Ouest published my fantasy series A godless world. I have a strong predisposition for creating fantasies set in parallel universes. In those projects she did the writing, art and color. However with her new erotic series, she wish to broaden her skills in pursuing to self-publish her book Dryad under the pen name Laduchesse.

Ze Kelvin

Découvrez Kelvin, un garçon espiègle (trop) plein d’entrain qui l’amènera à confronter le plus grand complot ourdi par une organisation inquiétante : le C.R.E.T.I.N. Léon Leclerc - scénariste: Fondateur des Surpriz Comix. En 1995, un des organisateurs du Salon de la bande dessinée de Valleyfield avec la Bibliothèque Armand-Frappier qui attire 2 800 personnes au Chalet du Parc Sauvé. En 1997, co-fondateur du concours intercollégial de bandes dessinée Cégep BD. Mathieu Benoit - illustrateur: Il a étudié en communication graphique à Montréal et travaillé en publicité imprimée. De 2005 à 2008, il a été l’une des têtes dirigeantes du groupe d’auteurs de bande dessinée Surpriz Comix, aboutissant à la publication de trois albums collectifs ainsi qu’à de nombreuses animations à travers le Québec. Depuis 2011, il partage son temps entre l’illustration et le dessin de coin de table avec sa fille de cinq ans.
