Author by vocation, Louis Rémillard has a long track record in the BDQ landscape. He has mainly produced humorous and satirical comics, but it is in another niche that he is now evolving. His interest in the great Quebecois spaces and in history became part of his art and led to the publication of Retour de l'Iroquois. This album was noticed by the public and the media and was nominated for the three main comic book awards in Quebec. Historical subjects became an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Louis Rémillard, who produced another album in which we discover the little-known actors of the First Nations. Follow their tracks in Traces de Mocassins, which was shortlisted for the Prix BD 2021 at the Salon du livre de Trois-Rivières. Louis is currently working on another historical project that deals with the very foundations of New France.
